Cardiff Devils 1-0 Excel Hull Stingrays
The Stingrays played out what was very nearly a bore draw in their penultimate Challenge Cup fixture in Cardiff. Needing a victory to progress to the Challenge Cup semi finals, the Stingrays pulled netminder Curtis Cruickshank with less than a minute remaining before Devils defenceman Mike Hartwick slotted in to the empty net with 30 seconds remaining in the game, knocking the Stingrays out in the process.
