Players to watch
Stingrays: Konstantin Kalmikov (0+0 0PIM)- Making his debut for the Stingrays will be 30 year old Ukrainian forward Kalmikov. Signed as a replacement for Jake Riddle, Kalmikov will provide the Stingrays with some much needed scoring. His previous teams include the Nottingham Panthers in 04/05 when he recorded 19 points in 28 goals and two 20+ goal spells in the ECHL.
Basingstoke: Brent Hughes (3+10 24PIM )- The Toronto, Ontario native has enjoyed relative success in Britain so far on a struggling Bison side, where he currently sits second in team scoring. He joined the club following sucessful spells with Amarillo, Colorado and Austin in the Central Hockey League before joining the Port Huron Ice Hawks in the IHL last season. The Bison will be looking to him and particularly Greg Chambers to dig the team out of a ten game winless streak.
