The latest news regarding a replacement for Rick Kozak seems to speculate that a signing will come sooner, rather than later.
Early speculation had suggested the Stingrays may plump for centreman Rod Hinks, who was released by Cardiff this week, however coach Rick Strachan quickly ruled that out on Wednesday night on KCFM by saying that he hadn't noticed Hinks in the Stingrays lone game against Cardiff this season, and so would not be signing the Canadian.
Other speculation has questioned whether or not the Rays would look for a like for like replacement for Kozak, who is a tough power forward. Initially it seemed the Stingrays would go for a similar player to Kozak however the Hull Daily Mail has now suggested that the Stingrays are closing in on a target which is not Kozak type player but is infact very experienced.
At the moment the only thing that is cut and dried is that the new signing will be a forward, who is new to the country.
